US President Donald Trump has reportedly paused a planned military strike on Iran after urgent intervention from Gulf leaders seeking more time for diplomacy.

According to multiple international reports, leaders from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates privately urged Washington to delay military action as negotiations with Tehran continue behind the scenes.

Trump confirmed that a possible strike had been put on hold, saying “serious negotiations” were underway, while also warning that the US military remains prepared to launch a “full-scale assault” if talks collapse.

The latest diplomatic push comes amid growing fears of a wider regional conflict linked to tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and Iran’s nuclear program. Reports indicate Iran submitted a revised proposal through Pakistani mediators that includes discussions on reopening shipping routes and easing regional tensions.

Despite the temporary pause, Trump maintained pressure on Tehran, warning that “the clock is ticking” for Iran to accept a stronger agreement acceptable to Washington and its Gulf allies.

Several reports also suggest global oil markets remain on edge as uncertainty over the Middle East crisis continues to impact energy prices and international security calculations.
