Thousands of people gathered at the National Mall on Sunday for a large America-themed prayer rally focused on faith, patriotism, and the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
The event, called “Rededicate 250,” featured prominent allies of Donald Trump, including Pete Hegseth, Marco Rubio, and House Speaker Mike Johnson. Trump was expected to address supporters through a video message.
Organizers described the gathering as a “rededication” of America as “One Nation under God,” while critics and progressive faith groups warned the event blurred the line between religion and government.
Christian leaders including Franklin Graham and Paula White-Cain appeared on the program, while counter-protests highlighted concerns over church-state separation and religious diversity in America.
