Abbas Araqchi has arrived in Islamabad, raising expectations of renewed diplomatic efforts between Iran and the United States.

The White House confirmed that senior U.S. envoys, including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, are expected to travel to Islamabad for potential talks.

However, Iranian officials have denied that any direct meeting with the U.S. is currently scheduled, stating that communications may instead be handled through Pakistani mediators.

Sources indicate that Pakistan is playing a key role in facilitating dialogue, with officials expressing cautious optimism despite the uncertainty surrounding formal negotiations.

Meanwhile, tensions remain high across the region. Benjamin Netanyahu said Israeli forces retain full operational freedom in Lebanon, even as a temporary ceasefire extension is in place.

Recent developments also include ongoing clashes in southern Lebanon, with reports of casualties continuing to rise amid sustained military activity.

The situation highlights the fragile state of regional stability, as diplomatic efforts continue alongside escalating security concerns.
