Saudi Arabia has significantly increased jet fuel shipments to Europe, delivering more aviation fuel than before the disruption of traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. Data from shipping analytics firms Kpler and Vortexa shows exports from Saudi Arabia's Red Sea port of Yanbu surged to between 118,000 and 140,000 barrels per day, well above January's peak levels.

The increase is helping Europe avoid a major aviation fuel shortage that many analysts feared after the Middle East conflict disrupted traditional energy supply routes. Saudi exports through the Red Sea, combined with additional supplies from the United States and Nigeria, have helped stabilize fuel availability for European airlines ahead of the busy summer travel season.

While fuel prices remain elevated and airlines continue to face higher operating costs, European officials say there are currently no signs of widespread jet fuel shortages. The development highlights Saudi Arabia's growing role as a critical energy supplier during one of the most significant disruptions to global fuel markets in recent years.
