KYIV: Ukraine has raised fresh concerns over unusual activity along its border with Belarus, as Russian attacks continue across multiple regions.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian authorities are closely monitoring developments and are prepared to respond if necessary. He cautioned against any involvement in the conflict, stressing that Ukraine will defend its sovereignty.

Border Tensions Under Watch

Zelenskyy did not provide specific details but confirmed that military positions and defensive measures are being strengthened along the Belarus border. Kyiv has previously warned that Russia could attempt to draw Belarus further into the conflict.

Belarus has not directly entered the war but has been a strategic location during earlier stages of the invasion.

Strikes Continue Across Ukraine

Meanwhile, Russian strikes have continued in several Ukrainian cities, including Kherson, Dnipro, Odesa, Sumy and Kharkiv. Reports indicate casualties in Kherson following an attack on civilian transport.

Ukrainian officials also reported damage to energy infrastructure, though power was later restored in affected areas.

Frontline Developments

Russia claims to have made gains in parts of eastern Ukraine, including areas in the Sumy and Donetsk regions. Ukrainian military officials say fighting has intensified, particularly around key defensive zones.

Drone warfare has also increased, with hundreds of aerial attacks reported in recent days by both sides.

Situation Remains Volatile

With continued strikes, rising military activity, and growing concerns over Belarus’ role, the situation remains tense. No immediate signs of de-escalation have been reported, keeping the region on high alert.
