Trump Claims Iran Will Abandon Nuclear Efforts
President Donald Trump has insisted that Iran will eventually stop enriching uranium and abandon any attempt to build a nuclear weapon, despite negotiations between Washington and Tehran appearing stalled.
Speaking during an interview on WABC’s Sid and Friends in the Morning, Trump expressed confidence that the US would secure control over what he called Iran’s “nuclear dust.”
“We’re Going to Get the Dust,” Trump Says
Trump claimed he has been personally involved in discussions with Iranian officials during the ongoing talks.
“100% they’re going to stop,” Trump said regarding Iran’s uranium enrichment activities.
He added: “They said that we’re going to get the dust. I call it the nuclear dust because it’s appropriate. And we’re going to get it.”
US Maintaining Pressure on Tehran
The president also signaled that Washington is continuing its pressure strategy against Iran.
“We’re not going to rush anything, we have a blockade,” Trump stated, suggesting the US still holds significant leverage despite the slow progress in negotiations.
Iran Nuclear Talks Remain Uncertain
Trump’s comments come at a time of growing uncertainty surrounding Iran-US negotiations, with tensions remaining high over Tehran’s nuclear activities, regional security concerns, and ongoing sanctions.
The future of any potential agreement remains unclear as diplomatic efforts continue behind closed doors.
