Trump Warns Iran Again Before China Visit as Earthquake Strikes Tehran
US President Donald Trump has renewed warnings toward Iran while departing for a state visit to China, saying Tehran must “do the right thing” or face severe consequences.
Speaking to reporters at the White House before leaving for Beijing, Trump said Iran remains “under control” and repeated his stance that Iran “will not have a nuclear weapon.”
“Iran will either do the right thing or we will finish the job,” Trump warned.
Trump also said he plans to hold a “long talk” with Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding the Iran conflict. China remains one of Iran’s closest allies and the largest buyer of Iranian oil.
The remarks came as an earthquake reportedly struck Tehran, adding further tension to an already unstable regional situation.
