A man has been arrested near the Sandringham estate after allegedly behaving in an intimidating manner close to the home of Prince Andrew.
Police in Norfolk confirmed officers were called to the village of Wolferton on Wednesday evening following reports of a suspicious individual in the area. Authorities said the suspect was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and possession of an offensive weapon.
According to reports, the incident happened while Prince Andrew was walking his dogs near the Sandringham Royal Parkland. A man wearing a balaclava reportedly exited a vehicle and moved toward him while shouting from a short distance away.
Norfolk Constabulary said the suspect was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning and remains in custody.
The incident reportedly took place on public land near the Sandringham estate, where members of the royal family frequently stay during parts of the year.
