Iran Restarts South Pars Gas Production After Israeli Attacks Hit World's Largest Gas Field

Iran has restored gas production at three offshore platforms in the massive South Pars gas field after Israeli attacks damaged parts of the country's energy infrastructure, according to the chief executive of Pars Oil and Gas Company.

The South Pars field, shared with Qatar, is considered the largest natural gas field in the world and plays a critical role in Iran's energy supply and economy. Earlier attacks forced production disruptions and raised concerns about regional energy security and global fuel markets.

Iranian officials said restoration work was completed on three offshore production platforms that had been affected when processing capacity at some onshore facilities was disrupted. The move signals that Tehran is working aggressively to stabilize energy production despite ongoing regional tensions.

The South Pars complex has been a strategic target during the conflict because it supplies a large share of Iran's natural gas needs and is viewed as one of the country's most important economic assets. Previous attacks on the facility triggered fears of broader disruptions across Middle East energy markets.

Energy analysts continue to monitor whether production can fully return to pre-conflict levels, but the latest announcement suggests Iran has managed to recover a significant portion of the affected output faster than many expected.
