DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (SCN ) Brig. Gen. Ahmad Vahidi, one of Iran’s most powerful hard-line military figures, is reportedly playing a major role in shaping Tehran’s negotiations with the United States amid growing war tensions.
According to reports, Vahidi has become part of Iran’s inner decision-making circle as discussions over a possible end to the conflict continue behind closed doors.
The Iranian general has long been linked to the Revolutionary Guard’s regional operations and is considered a strong supporter of Iran’s aggressive stance against U.S. and Israeli pressure. Analysts say his growing influence signals that Tehran may take a tougher position in ongoing negotiations.
Meanwhile, tensions remain high over Iran’s uranium program and the future of the Strait of Hormuz, with both Washington and Tehran warning that diplomacy could collapse if talks fail.
