Pakistan has deployed fighter jets and military personnel to Saudi Arabia as part of a defence cooperation agreement between the two countries, according to an official statement from the Saudi defence ministry.

The aircraft and support units arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base in the eastern province, marking a significant step in strengthening joint military coordination.

Officials stated that the deployment is aimed at enhancing defence readiness, regional security, and strategic cooperation between Islamabad and Riyadh.

The move comes under a mutual defence pact signed in September 2025, which commits both nations to respond collectively in case of any external aggression.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have maintained a long-standing security partnership, with Islamabad historically providing military training, advisory support, and defence cooperation to the kingdom.

The development also coincides with heightened regional tensions and ongoing diplomatic activity in Pakistan, including high-level talks aimed at stabilizing the broader Middle East situation.

In parallel, Saudi Arabia continues to support Pakistan economically. Senior Saudi officials recently visited Islamabad, reaffirming financial cooperation and long-term strategic ties between the two countries.
