The majority of Israelis support an end to the war

The majority of Israelis support an agreement to end the war and return prisoners.

According to a poll by the Israel Democracy Institute, a majority of Israelis, 56 percent, support a comprehensive deal to end the war and release all prisoners in exchange for the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

29.5 percent of Israelis support a deal to release some prisoners in exchange for a temporary end to fighting in Gaza.

Regarding the North, 42 percent of Israelis support a political settlement with Hezbollah on the Lebanese border, while 38 percent want a military solution even at the cost of heavy casualties.

10 percent of those polled said it was right to continue fighting on the northern border in its current form, while 10 percent said they had no opinion on the matter.

Regarding differences within the governing coalition, 44 percent of Israelis say that tension between the ultra-Orthodox parties and other parties in the coalition is the number one reason that could lead to the collapse of the government.
