 Lahore: Maryam Nawaz met with the students who secured positions in matriculation and also gave prize checks.




Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz also distributed prize checks and trophies while meeting the students who secured prominent positions in the matriculation examinations in Lahore.


Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz gave a check of Rs 3 lakh to the first position holder student, Rs 2 lakh to the second position holder and Rs 1 lakh to the third position holder.


Maryam Nawaz congratulated the position holder students, prayed for more success and appreciated the efforts of their parents and teachers.


During the ceremony, the Chief Minister left her seat and sat among the students and directed them to pay their educational expenses on behalf of the government.


He said that seeing the ability of the position holders makes one jealous, the future of the country is bright.


On this occasion, a student got upset while telling the Chief Minister about her domestic situation and said that she does not want to be a burden on her parents for higher education.


On the instructions of the Chief Minister, Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced that the government will bear the educational expenses of the position holders.


He also announced to give Rs 7 lakh to the first position holder, Rs 5 lakh to the second position holder and Rs 3 lakh to the third position holder.
