The online taxi service has stopped operations in Pakistan

Online taxi service company Uber has shut down its operations in Pakistan, saying that Uber's sub-service Cream Online Taxi app will continue to function.

An Uber spokesperson confirmed the decision to stop service in Pakistan.

It should be noted that Uber bought Kareem in 2009 for $3.1 billion. Both companies said they would continue to operate their respective regional services and independent brands.

Uber was only available in Lahore. Earlier, on October 11, 2022, Uber stopped operations in many cities including Karachi.
