Emirates cricket team qualified for Asia Cup 2025
The United Arab Emirates cricket team qualified for the Asia Cup 2025 after 9 years after defeating Oman by 55 runs in the final of the ACC Men's Premier Cup.
The victory featured a stellar performance from young batsman Ali Shan Sharfo alongside captain Muhammad Wasim, while fast bowler Junaid Siddiqui led the bowling attack alongside Ayan Afzal Khan to help UAE win the final with ease.
Mohammad Wasim scored a magnificent century off 56 balls and was ably supported by his opening partner Ali Shan Sharfu who contributed 34 runs in an opening partnership of 94 runs.
Junaid Siddiqui took 3 wickets for 38 runs in 4 overs while Ayan Afzal Khan took 2 wickets for 29 runs and restricted Oman to 149 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
