PTI Workers' Convention, Police raid at Javed Hashmi's residence, candidate arrested
Police raided the residence of senior Pakistani politician Javed Hashmi during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers' convention in Multan.
PTI workers' convention was held at the house of Javed Hashmi, who recently withdrew from the election in favor of PTI. Shah Mehmood Qureshi's son Zain Qureshi and daughter Mehrabano Qureshi were also to participate in the convention.
Meanwhile, the police arrested the PTI candidate at Javed Hashmi's residence. Javed Hashmi's son-in-law and grandson along with independent candidate Zahid Hashmi and household employees have also been detained.
Javed Hashmi said in this regard that 'Police have raided his residence in Makhdoom Rasheed area of Multan and arrested PTI candidate Zahid Behar Hashmi and his house servants.'
He said that the police broke the door and entered the house and tortured.
