Canada: Involvement of Indian network in extortion incidents revealed

Indian network's involvement in extortion incidents in Edmonton, Canada has been revealed.
According to the police, 27 crimes including extortion were planned in India and these 27 crimes have been reported from October last year to January this year.
According to the police, 6 suspects involved in the crime have been arrested and one suspect escaped from Canada.
Police said that victims of Indian origin used to receive extortion messages on WhatsApp, and in one incident, houses under construction were burnt for non-payment.
According to the police, we believe that the act was carried out by a group of local people directed by a suspect in India.
