Biden and Netanyahu contact after rejecting US offer of two-state solution

After Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's statement rejecting the American proposal for a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue, US President Joe Biden and the Israeli Prime Minister have had a telephone conversation.

According to US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby, Biden still believes in a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue.

"Biden made it clear that the two-state solution is still the right way forward and we will continue to pursue this issue," he said.

According to the White House, Biden has welcomed allowing the shipment of flour from an Israeli port to Gaza.

The Israeli media say that the possibility of the fall of Netanyahu's war-obsessed government has increased.

While talking in Washington, US President Joe Biden has said that even in the presence of Netanyahu, a bilateral solution is possible, two-state solutions can be of many types.

He said that some countries are members of the United Nations but do not have their own army. He does not think that Netanyahu is against any kind of two-state solution.
