Trump Preparing Major Talks With Xi Jinping in Beijing

President Donald Trump is expected to directly confront Chinese President Xi Jinping over Beijing’s alleged support for Iran and Russia during an upcoming high-stakes summit in China.

US officials say the talks will focus heavily on China’s economic ties with Tehran and Moscow, including oil purchases, dual-use technology exports, and possible military-linked cooperation.

White House Accuses China of Supporting Iran and Russia

A senior US administration official said Trump has already discussed concerns with Xi multiple times, warning that China’s financial and industrial support is helping sustain both Iran and Russia.

Officials claim Beijing continues providing critical revenue and materials that strengthen Iran’s military and economic capabilities despite US sanctions.

China Rejects US Sanctions on Iranian Oil

Tensions escalated further after China reportedly instructed companies to ignore US sanctions targeting Iranian oil imports.

According to reports, Beijing activated a “blocking statute” designed to stop Chinese firms from complying with foreign sanctions considered illegitimate by the Chinese government.

The order reportedly applies to several Chinese refineries accused by Washington of purchasing Iranian crude oil.

US Warns China Over Iran Revenue and Military Links

American officials argue that China’s oil trade with Iran generates billions of dollars for Tehran and helps fund regional military activities, missile programs, and drone operations.

The US Treasury has also sanctioned several Chinese and Hong Kong-linked companies accused of supplying materials connected to Iran’s missile and drone networks.

Beijing Defends Trade Ties With Tehran

Chinese officials rejected the accusations, saying China follows strict export controls and maintains what it called “normal economic cooperation” with Iran.

Beijing also accused Washington of politicizing the conflict and damaging legitimate international trade.

Strait of Hormuz, Taiwan and AI Also on Summit Agenda

The Trump-Xi summit is also expected to cover major global flashpoints including Taiwan, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, rare earth supply chains, and growing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.

The meeting is being closely watched as global tensions rise between the United States, China, Iran, and Russia.
