Washington : President Donald Trump’s controversial proposal to build a giant triumphal arch in Washington, D.C. is once again under federal review as debate grows over the project’s size, symbolism, and impact on the capital’s skyline.

The proposed monument would reportedly stand 250 feet tall and feature a torch-bearing statue, golden eagles, lions, and patriotic phrases including “One Nation Under God” and “Liberty and Justice for All.” The structure is also expected to include a public observation deck overlooking the city.

While supporters say the project could become a powerful symbol ahead of America’s 250th Independence celebrations, critics argue the monument would overshadow historic landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial and dramatically reshape Washington’s iconic skyline.

Federal officials are now reviewing updated design plans after earlier concerns were raised about the monument’s height and decorative features.
