BEIJING — Donald Trump signaled uncertainty over the fragile Iran ceasefire by declaring that the “military decimation of Iran” is “to be continued” during his ongoing state visit to China.

The remarks came after lengthy talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, where both leaders discussed the Iran war, trade tensions, Taiwan, and global security issues.

In a Truth Social post, Trump praised what he called America’s “incredible rise” under his administration and referenced “military victory” against Iran, adding the phrase “to be continued!” — a comment that immediately raised fresh questions about the future of the ceasefire.

The White House said Trump and Xi discussed the Iran conflict extensively during talks lasting more than two hours. Trump later claimed Xi assured him China would not provide military equipment to Iran and would support keeping the Strait of Hormuz open.

Chinese officials, however, released only limited details about the Iran discussions while emphasizing stability in U.S.-China relations and warning Washington over Taiwan.
