At the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his active efforts to promote peace in the Middle East.
During a bilateral meeting in Antalya, President Erdoğan welcomed the Pakistani premier and appreciated his diplomatic outreach across the region. He reaffirmed that Türkiye would continue to support Pakistan’s peace initiatives.
PM Shehbaz, who arrived in Türkiye after visiting Saudi Arabia and Qatar, briefed Erdoğan on ongoing efforts to extend the ceasefire and restart dialogue aimed at achieving a long-term peace agreement.
Both leaders discussed the evolving Middle East situation and stressed the importance of using the current opportunity to secure lasting stability.
They also reaffirmed strong Pakistan-Türkiye ties and agreed to hold the next High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting in Ankara later this year, focusing on boosting economic and strategic cooperation.
On the sidelines of the forum, PM Shehbaz also met several world leaders, including Qatar’s Emir, Azerbaijan’s President, Kazakhstan’s President, and Syria’s leadership, strengthening Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement on the global stage.
