Pakistan Air Force (PAF) escorted an Iranian delegation back to their country following inconclusive peace talks with the United States, amid fears of a potential Israeli attack, according to sources.

The operation reportedly involved around two dozen fighter jets along with an Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft to monitor the airspace and ensure the safe return of the delegation. Sources said the move came after Iranian officials expressed concerns that they could be targeted during their journey.

Officials familiar with the matter described the mission as a high-level security operation, highlighting the seriousness of the perceived threat. One source noted that Pakistan may provide similar protection in future rounds of talks if requested.

The Iranian delegation, led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and senior officials, had been in Islamabad for negotiations with US representatives. Although the talks ended without a breakthrough, diplomatic sources say dialogue between the sides is still ongoing and another round of discussions may take place soon.

The development reflects rising tensions in the region, particularly following recent statements from Israeli leadership and ongoing conflict dynamics involving Iran, the US, and Israel.
