On the first anniversary of the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan has renewed criticism of India, accusing New Delhi of failing to present credible evidence to support its claims against Pakistan.

In an official statement, Pakistan’s Information Minister emphasized that calls for an independent investigation into the incident were not addressed, raising concerns over transparency.

The Pahalgam attack, which targeted tourists in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, resulted in multiple casualties and triggered a sharp escalation in tensions between the two neighboring countries.

Following the incident, India blamed Pakistan for involvement without publicly sharing supporting evidence — an allegation Islamabad has consistently denied while advocating for a neutral inquiry.

The situation further escalated into military confrontation between the two nuclear-armed nations before a ceasefire was reached through international mediation.

Pakistani officials have also questioned the handling of the case, pointing to procedural irregularities and highlighting concerns raised by various international observers and analysts.

The statement also addressed broader regional tensions, with Pakistan reiterating its position on ongoing disputes and calling for responsible engagement to ensure stability in South Asia.

Officials stressed that Pakistan remains committed to countering terrorism while safeguarding its sovereignty and security.

The development underscores continued strain in bilateral relations, with both sides maintaining opposing narratives regarding the incident and its aftermath.
