$150 for a 15-minute ride to MetLife Stadium sparks outrage among supporters

Fans of England national football team are facing shockingly high travel costs ahead of their World Cup clash in the United States.

Supporters traveling from New York City to MetLife Stadium — where England will face Panama — will be charged around $150 (£111) for a short 15-minute train journey.

The price is nearly 12 times higher than the usual $12.90 fare, triggering frustration among fans planning to attend the match.

Located in New Jersey, the stadium — home to the New York Giants and New York Jets — is expected to host massive crowds, including the World Cup final on July 19.

With parking also extremely expensive at around $225, officials expect nearly 40,000 fans per match to rely on public transport.

The sharp increase in transport costs has raised concerns about affordability for international supporters, especially those traveling long distances to support their teams.
