US President Donald Trump has indicated he may visit Islamabad if a deal with Iran to end the ongoing conflict is finalised. Speaking to reporters, Trump said Iran has agreed to “almost everything,” expressing optimism about a breakthrough.
He praised Pakistan’s leadership, including Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, for their role in facilitating talks. The recent Islamabad meeting marked a rare high-level engagement between US and Iranian officials.
While no final agreement has been reached, discussions are ongoing, with key issues including Iran’s nuclear programme and the Strait of Hormuz still under negotiation.
