Pakistan will not compromise on its security: Interior Minister tells US envoy
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with the United States Charge d’Affaires for second time in the federal capital today. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss Pakistan-India tensions and border situation.
Mohsin Naqvi briefed the US Ambassador on current situation, and also apprised him of the terrorism being carried out by India through drones. The minister informed the US official that India has violated international laws. “India made a despicable attempt to target civilian populations,” Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said.
In response, “Pakistan took effective action and shot down dozens of drones,” he said, adding, “India is fully responsible for the dangerous situation in the region. The entire region [has been brought] on the brink of war”.
Mohsin Naqvi reiterated that Pakistan will never let its security and stability to be compromised.
