 Govt 'serious' about pursuing contempt case against Imran Khan, AAG tells SC



Meanwhile, constitutional bench adjourns hearing on civilians' military trials


ISLAMABAD: Additional Attorney General (AAG) for Pakistan Amir Rehman has informed the Supreme Court that the government is serious about pursuing the contempt case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

His statement came on Tuesday during a hearing on a contempt of court plea filed by the federal government relating to the May 25, 2022, long march, wherein Khan had violated court orders.

The hearing was conducted by a seven-member constitutional bench headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan and included Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan.
