The Israeli parliament passed a resolution against the establishment of a Palestinian state

The Knesset, the Israeli parliament, rejected the establishment of a Palestinian state.

The Israeli parliament passed a resolution against the two-state plan for peace in the Middle East, the first time in Israel's history that the parliament has passed such a resolution.

According to Israeli media, 68 members of parliament voted against the establishment of a Palestinian state in the resolution, while 9 members opposed the resolution.

The Knesset resolution stated that the Palestinian state would remain a threat to the existence of Israel and to Israeli citizens.

According to Israeli media, the resolution has dealt a blow to diplomatic efforts for peace in Israel and Arab countries.
