London: There is a fear of delay and cancellation of flights in UK till the end of this week due to disruption in IT systems globally.
According to foreign media reports, experts say that it could take weeks to fully restore the system, after an update from a cybersecurity firm has hit a number of organizations around the world.
According to the report, 167 departing and 171 arriving flights from the UK were canceled on Friday, so passengers at Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Belfast airports are advised to get information before arriving at the airport.
The report further stated that a total of more than 5000 flights had to be canceled worldwide due to malfunctions in the IT system.
It should be remembered yesterday that computers running on Microsoft's Windows operating system were affected worldwide due to a bug in the software of the cyber security company Crowdstrike. Pharmacy, banks and payment services were also affected due to disruption in the IT system.
