Austerity Plan: Prime Minister's decision to eliminate several important ministries and departments
The Prime Minister accelerated the austerity plan in the tough economic conditions, the Prime Minister decided to eliminate many important ministries and departments.
According to the sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asked for a plan to eliminate 5 ministries, the Institutional Reforms Cell established by the Prime Minister started work on right sizing, and sought recommendations from five federal ministries in a week.
Sources further said that information technology is the top among the ministries from which recommendations were sought, Kashmir Affairs, Ministry of Saffron, Ministry of Industry and Production and Ministry of Health Services are also included.
Sources said that five federal ministries have started working to answer the questions.
