All passport related issues will be fully resolved by September: DG Passport
Islamabad: Director General (DG) Passport and Immigration Mustafa Jamal Qazi says that all passport related issues will be resolved by September.
While briefing the National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior, DG Passport said that there were complaints of delay in passport printing because the machinery was inactive, approval has been given to get e-passport machinery, 6 new printers will also come for passport printing. .
DG Passport said that the delay in the passport printing process will be controlled, all passport related issues will be resolved in September.
DG Passport said that additional counters have been set up in passport offices, the passport system was 20 years old, there were 20 old printers out of which 13 were working, the issue of lamination papers was due to dollar which has been resolved.
