US Human Trafficking Report released, a ranking of Pakistan and India
The annual report on human trafficking has been released by the US Department of State.
According to foreign media reports, the United States has released its annual report on human trafficking, in which Pakistan and India are ranked equally, saying that both governments do not meet the minimum standards to end human trafficking.
The Pakistani government has shown greater overall efforts than in the previous report, including increasing prosecutions and punishing human traffickers.
According to the report, 4.5 million workers are trapped in forced labor across Pakistan, forced by human traffickers to work in brick kilns, agriculture, coal and carpet industries.
