The federal government has prepared a roadmap for the privatization of 25 institutions for the next 3 years.
According to the details, the federal government has included the privatization of First Women Bank, House Building Finance Corporation and electricity distribution companies among its top priorities after PIA.
Expressions of interest have been invited for privatization of PIA, privatization of First Women Bank, House Building Finance Corporation is now the top priority.
According to the list issued by the Ministry of Privatization, Islamabad Electric Supply Company, Lahore Electric Supply Company, Gujranwala Electric Supply Company, Faisalabad Electric Supply Company, Multan Electric Supply Company, Hyderabad Electric Supply Company and Sukkur Electric Supply Company are also privatized. Therefore, it is among the top priorities.
In the energy sector, Baluki Power, Haveli Bahadur Shah, Guddu Power and Nandipur Power, Pakistan Engineering Company, Sindh Engineering Company, Pakistan Reinsurance Company, Jinnah Convention Center, State Life are also included in the privatization list.
While Peshawar Electric Supply Company, Quetta Electric Supply Company, Tribal Area Supply Company have been placed in the last stage of privatization.
