The Punjab government has fixed the support price of wheat at 3900 rupees per maund, which is not being increased.
Talking to the media under the cover of Punjab Assembly, he said that the prices of petroleum products have increased enormously at the international level, but the government is trying to keep the prices as low as possible.
The number of people who consume petrol is very less than those who eat bread, the price of bread has decreased by Rs 4 while the new crop of wheat will come down this month.
Finance Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rahman said that despite the government increasing the price to 16 rupees, the tandoor owners are getting profit.
He said that the Punjab government has fixed the support price of wheat at 3900 rupees per maund, in which there is no increase. Action will be taken against those who artificially increase the prices.
