Initiation of action against electricity companies on over-billing
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has initiated action against Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) for over-billing.

According to Additional Director Nepra, the overbilling data of all divisions of LESCO has been requested and the overbilling data will be provided in all divisions by February 27.
According to the Nepra official, in the light of the data provided, action will be taken against the Exxons and the officers involved in over-billing will be removed from the field.
Additional Director Nepra says that Shahpur, Kot Lakhpat, Kasur, Chunian, Phul Nagar, Shalimar and Shahida are at the top in over-billing.
It should be remembered that a few days ago, there were complaints of over-billing against the electricity distribution companies, on which the response of the electricity companies was described as unsatisfactory by Nipra.
