Water will run out by 2026-27, at that time water tanker will run, Lahore High Court
The court has banned the planting of palm trees on highways and motorways to prevent smog.
A hearing was held in the Lahore High Court today on the petitions for remedying smog. During the hearing, Justice Shahid Karim remarked that there should be an investigation on the renovation of Lahore's underpasses.
The court remarked that someone has earned money for renovating the underpasses. The condition of the underpasses has also become strange, they are looking funny, they have installed strange lights which have been switched off on the first day.
Justice Shahid Karim said that if the investigation is done, it will be known who has earned the money. Reports are saying that water will run out by 2026 and 2027, at that time water tankers will run in Lahore, water should be saved from wastage.
During the hearing, the court inquired from the public prosecutor that what steps were taken by Vasa regarding the water meter? On which the member water commission said that one year's time is required to install water meters.
