Rainfall in various areas including the Twin Cities
Islamabad: Clouds fell in various parts of Punjab, including the federal capital Islamabad. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snow on the mountains from today.
Clouds fell in different parts of the country including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujarat on Friday morning. The first rains of winter eased the dry cold and fog.
According to the Department of Meteorology, the weather will remain cold in most parts of the country today, while it will remain partly cloudy in the upper districts and northern Balochistan, however, there is a possibility of light rain in a few places of Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and snowfall on the mountains.
The plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Upper Sindh, including the federal capital, will be covered by fog, due to which the intensity of cold will continue in the said areas.
The weather will remain cold and dry in most of the districts of Punjab, however, Murree, Galiyat and Gurdonwan will be partly cloudy with light rain and light snowfall in the mountains.
A few places including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Kurram Agency, Khyber, Mohmand and Waziristan areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to experience light rain and light snowfall on mountains.
In most districts of Balochistan, the weather is likely to remain cold and partly cloudy. Weather will remain cold and dry in most districts of Sindh.
Weather in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will remain very cold and partly cloudy, while there is a possibility of light rain at a few places and snowfall in the mountains.
The temperature recorded yesterday was minus 10 degrees Celsius in Skarda, minus 6 degrees Celsius in Astor, Kalam, Gilgit, minus 3 degrees Celsius in Chitral, Dir, Malam Jabba, Rawalkot.
