On the other hand, Iran's Revolutionary Guards have claimed that they targeted a hideout of Israeli spies in the semi-autonomous region of Kurdistan in northern Iraq on Tuesday. Along with this, they also attacked ISIS bases in Syria.
The crisis in the Middle East has intensified due to these attacks. Elements allied and supported by Iran in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen are entering the fray.
Fears are also growing that Iraq could once again become the focus of a major regional conflict following US attacks on Iran-linked groups. US forces have carried out fresh operations since October 7 following several attacks on US targets.
