Chance of rain in Gilgit-Baltistan and upper areas, snowfall in mountains
ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted severe cold in Gilgit-Baltistan and upper areas, light rain at night and snowfall on the mountains.
According to the Department of Meteorology, the weather will remain cold and dry in most of the plains of the country today, while the severity of the cold is likely to increase in the northern regions and northern Balochistan.
Heavy fog is expected in the plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Upper Sindh.
The weather in Islamabad and its surroundings will remain cold today while the forecast will remain partly cloudy. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regions of Chitral, Dir, Kohistan, Swat, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the mountains at night, apart from being partly cloudy. Heavy fog is expected in Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, Peshawar, Lucky Marwat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and surrounding areas.
The weather will be cold and dry in most of the districts of Punjab province, while it will be very cold in Murree, Galiyat and surrounding areas, while the forecast will remain partly cloudy. Areas of Punjab: Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Mangala, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Toba Tek Singh, Khanewal, Multan, Khanpur, Rahimyar Khan, Hafizabad. , Bhakkar, Leh, Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding areas will be covered by heavy fog and smog due to which the daytime temperature will remain below normal in most districts of the province.
Weather will remain cold and dry in most of the districts of Sindh province, however, heavy fog and smog are likely to prevail in Jacobabad, Mohenjodaro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur, Kashmore and Padaidan.
