All properties of Malik Riaz and his son were frozen
All assets and bank accounts of Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz Malik were frozen.
The Accountability Court had ordered the freezing of assets in the 190 million pound case on January 12. This order was given by Judge Muhammad Basheer of the Accountability Court.
Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir issued orders to freeze the movable and immovable properties of Malik Riaz and his son.
The order also ordered the freezing of the properties of Zulfi Bukhari and Shehzad Akbar, assistants of the former prime minister, Farhat Shahzad alias Farah Khan Gogi and a lawyer, Zia-ul-Mustafa Naseem.
The court ordered the revenue officers across the country to seize the immovable properties of the accused while the Excise and Taxation officers were also ordered to seize the vehicles registered in their names.
The court had directed commercial banks to freeze their accounts and not allow transactions or capital withdrawals.
The court also appointed an additional director of NAB as a receiver to collect the rental income from the properties owned by these accused.
