Kim Jong Un Reaffirms ‘Unshakeable’ Commitment to China as He Congratulates Xi on CCP Anniversary

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has pledged to further strengthen relations with China, describing the two countries' partnership as rooted in an “unshakeable will” in a congratulatory message sent to Chinese President Xi Jinping on the 105th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

In his message, Kim congratulated Xi and the CCP on the milestone anniversary, expressing confidence that China would continue to achieve new successes under Xi's leadership. He also reaffirmed Pyongyang's commitment to expanding strategic cooperation with Beijing and preserving the long-standing friendship between the two neighboring countries.

According to North Korea's state media, Kim said the ruling parties of both countries should continue working together to strengthen political trust and deepen cooperation, describing the relationship as an important factor for peace, regional stability and the development of socialism.

The exchange of messages comes at a time when North Korea and China continue to maintain close diplomatic and economic ties despite heightened security tensions on the Korean Peninsula and growing strategic competition between China and the United States. Beijing remains North Korea's largest trading partner and its most influential political ally.

Analysts say Kim's latest message reflects Pyongyang's continued effort to reinforce its alliance with Beijing as both countries face increasing pressure from Western governments over regional security, sanctions and geopolitical disputes. The public display of solidarity is also expected to strengthen coordination between the two governments on diplomatic and economic issues in the months ahead.

The anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party is one of China's most significant political events each year, and messages from foreign leaders—particularly North Korea—are closely watched as indicators of regional diplomatic relations.
