NEW YORK — Global music stars Shakira and Burna Boy have officially released “Dai Dai,” the anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The multilingual track blends Latin rhythms with Afrobeats, creating a global football anthem celebrating countries and players competing in the tournament. The song features energetic chants, international references, and a powerful duet between the two artists.
The release comes shortly after FIFA announced that Shakira, Madonna, and BTS will headline the tournament’s first-ever halftime show during the World Cup final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium.
The halftime event will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to improve access to education and football programs for children worldwide.
Shakira previously became globally associated with the World Cup through her iconic 2010 anthem Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), widely considered one of FIFA’s most successful tournament songs.
