ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday departed for Saudi Arabia, launching a three-nation diplomatic tour aimed at strengthening ties and promoting regional peace amid rising tensions.
The visit, spanning April 15–18, will also take him to Qatar and Turkey, where he is expected to engage with top leadership on security, cooperation, and Middle East stability.
In Turkey, PM Shehbaz will attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, joining global leaders to present Pakistan’s stance on key international issues.
On the sidelines, he is likely to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other world figures for high-level discussions.
This visit comes as Pakistan gains global attention for hosting high-stakes US-Iran talks in Islamabad, positioning itself as a key diplomatic player in the region.
Despite over 20 hours of negotiations, no formal deal was reached, and a second round of talks is expected soon, keeping tensions high across the Gulf.
