ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a key meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidency, where he briefed him on the latest developments in ongoing US–Iran negotiations.

During the meeting, the prime minister shared a detailed update on the progress of diplomatic efforts, including Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue between the two sides.

He also informed the president about his upcoming visits to Saudi Arabia and Turkiye, aimed at strengthening regional coordination amid evolving geopolitical tensions.

President Zardari emphasized that modern conflicts have far-reaching consequences, impacting not only regional stability but also the global economy and security landscape.

He appreciated Pakistan’s continued diplomatic engagement and acknowledged the role of state institutions in supporting peace initiatives.

Highlighting Pakistan’s growing international relevance, the president noted that the country is emerging as a responsible and proactive player in global diplomacy.
