The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has issued a show-cause notice to 24 News over “objectionable content” aired during a recent episode of Mornings with Fiza.
A viral clip from the show showed host Fiza Ali being lifted by her husband during a live segment, sparking criticism online. While Ali described it as a lighthearted moment, critics termed it inappropriate for television.
Pemra stated the content violated broadcasting rules and directed the channel’s CEO to appear before the authority and explain why legal action should not be taken.
