Tensions have escalated further as an Iranian advisor has warned that Donald Trump’s decision to extend the ceasefire may be part of a strategic move to prepare for renewed military action.
According to Mahdi Mohammadi, the extension of the ceasefire should not be seen as a genuine step toward peace, but rather as a potential delay tactic.
In a statement shared on social media, Mohammadi suggested that the continuation of pressure measures against Iran is equivalent to ongoing conflict and could provoke a military response.
He further claimed that the ceasefire extension might be intended to create an opportunity for a sudden strike, adding that Iran should remain prepared to respond decisively.
The remarks come at a sensitive moment as diplomatic efforts continue, with uncertainty still surrounding future negotiations between the United States and Iran.
With both sides exchanging strong statements, the situation remains highly volatile, raising concerns about whether the ceasefire will hold or tensions will escalate once again.
