Gandapur dares Centre to impose governor’s rule
ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Wednesday challenged the federal government to impose governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as the PTI said the party vowed to make every effort for getting Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and others released.
After the PTI held a meeting of its parliament members, a declaration shared with media seemed focused on the incarcerated party founder and called for his release along with other leaders and workers.
It also said that the PTI would continue with its “struggle” to ensure “supremacy” of law and the Constitution in Pakistan.
As expected, the PTI also expressed its disagreement over the reserved seats judgment issued by the Supreme Court’s Constitutional Bench.
UNFLINCHING LOYALTY
Later in the evening, the PTI leaders addressed a press conference, where Gandapur said the hope to divide his party was a miscalculation by the opponents.
He opined that the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could be removed through constitutional means. “Remove my government, if you have courage,” Gandapur said, while addressing the ruling alliance in the Centre as well the “establishment” without naming any.
