Wedding bells ring once again for Junaid Safdar
RAIWIND: Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and and Captain (retd) Safdar, is once again ready to tie the knot.
According to party sources, Junaid Safdar’s engagement has been finalised with the daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s close relative Mian Usman Javed.
Mian Usman Javed is the nephew of Mian Tariq Shafi, a senior member of the Ittehad Group of Industry.
According to media reports, Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Javed Shafi met on Wednesday in Model Town where the Junaid Safdar’s engagement took place. Nikah ceremony is expected to take place in the next few weeks.
It may be recalled that Junaid Safdar was earlier married to Ayesha Saif in 2021, however, Junaid confirmed his separation from her in October 2023.
After completing his education in the UK, Junaid Safdar is currently residing in Lahore.
Junaid, a Cambridge graduate, holds two bachelor’s and two master’s degrees from top UK universities. He earned a master’s in International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2020 and another in Global Governance and Ethics from University College London (UCL).
Before that, he completed his undergraduate studies in politics with first-class honours at Durham University, and later graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2022.
