According to the department, a special tribute will be paid to the Pakistan Armed Forces during the morning assembly in schools.
Speech contests, national songs, and art competitions will also be held to mark the importance of the day.
Officials said students who perform well in these competitions at the district level will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
The education department further clarified that summer vacations will be formally announced after the Youm-e-Takbeer programmes.
